With the rugby season currently on hold due to the Covid-19 lockdown, the battle between the top-flight clubs is set to continue this weekend with a special online gaming event.

Organised by YANA (You Are Not Alone), a mass-participation gaming event is being set up on Saturday 2 May which will include players and supporters from across the League.

The Rugby Club Esports Cup, using the game Fortnite, will be streamed from 2pm to 5pm with the tournament starting at 3pm.

The core content for the competition will see 15 players per squad representing several clubs.

5 x Professional rugby player representatives

2 x Influencers / Pro players

8 x Club supporter representatives

The event will have celebrity commentary from former England internationals Austin Healy and Ben Kay, as well as two well-known gaming commentators.

Club supporter representatives are randomly selected.
