London Irish get their Greene King IPA Championship campaign underway with back-to-back home games against Doncaster Knights and newly promoted Richmond respectively.

The Exiles’, first away encounter is at Bedford Blues in Round 3 of the competition as the season gathers pace.

Following 22 rounds of the competition, the league winner will be decided by a play-off format which continues for the eighth year.

London Irish Director of Rugby Nick Kennedy said: “Fixture release day is always an exciting day for the club’s supporters and the squad are really looking forward to playing in front of a home crowd back-to-back.

“The Championship will be a tough competition for us and we will have to approach every game with the right attitude and mind set if we are to get the results that we want.

“We have added to the squad with some great talent and everyone is working hard ahead of what promises to be an exciting season.”
