2020/21 Season Ticket FAQs

I’m paying for my 2020/21 Season Ticket by direct debit, what do I do?

For Season Tickets that are deferred to 2021/22, direct debit payments will continue as normal until payments have been completed. If your circumstances have changed and you are struggling to keep up with payments, please email [email protected].

For Season Ticket holders who are paying by direct debit and would like to downgrade to an Exile Nation Membership or claim a full refund, your direct debit payments will be cancelled and you will be issued with a refund on the amount paid to that point via bank transfer.

I have a 3 year Season Ticket, what happens to that?

For those who chose to defer, your 3 year Season Ticket will now cover the 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.

For those that request a downgrade, you will receive a pro rata refund for the first year of your 3 year Season Ticket (a third of the overall payment cost), minus the cost of an Exile Nation Membership. This will be issued via bank transfer.

If you request a full refund, you will be refunded for the first year of your 3 year Season Ticket (a third of the overall payment cost) via bank transfer.

If you are paying for your 3 year Season Ticket using direct debit and choose to defer, your payments will continue as scheduled.

Can I still upgrade my Season Ticket to a 3 year Season Ticket?

Yes, if you choose to defer your Season Ticket then you will also have the option to upgrade by either one or two additional seasons. The cost to upgrade will be frozen at the price you paid for your 2020/21 Season Ticket. For example, if you bought a 2020/21 Season Ticket for £435 and choose to defer and upgrade for an extra season, you will pay £435 for your Season Ticket to cover the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasos. If you want to upgrade by two seasons, you will pay £870 for your Season Ticket to include the 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.

One year upgrades must be paid in full up front. Two year upgrades have the option to spread the cost using direct debit.

For supporters who are able to upgrade, you will not only be providing substantial financial support to help the club’s cashflow during this difficult period, but you will be saving a significant amount of money by avoiding two or three years of price increases.

I want to defer my Season Ticket, do I have to do anything?

No, deferring is the default option. If we do not receive a downgrade or refund request from you, your Season Ticket will be deferred.

If I defer my Season Ticket, can I also become an Exile Nation Member?

Yes, if you defer your Season Ticket to the 2021/22 season, you will become an Exile Nation Member free of charge (worth £95). You will receive all the benefits of the membership at no additional cost. You do not need to purchase an Exile Nation Membership, it will be issued to you automatically.

What about child and junior Season Tickets?

The same process applies for Season Tickets of all ages and categories with three options available – defer (default option), downgrade to a membership with a partial refund, or full refund (as cash or ticket credit).

If you defer or downgrade, the membership package that will be issued will correspond to the age bracket of the Season Ticket:

Adults and Concessions: Exile Nation Membership
Juniors (12 to 17): Generation nEXt
Children (11 and under): Digger’s Wolfpack

More information on memberships can be found here.

How will my refund be issued?

If you paid by card, your refund can be issued directly through the ticketing system. This will automatically be return to the account of the card used to pay.

If you paid by direct debit or bank transfer, have moved seats or used a coupon when paying for your Season Ticket, your refund will be issued by bank transfer. You will need to provide the account holder name, account number and sort code when requesting your refund.

If you requested the +20% value-added ticket credit refund option for 2019/20 season, this cannot be requested as a cash refund and will remain on your account as credit.

Refunds will be issued following the deadline on Wednesday 2 December.

What happens if I want a refund and I paid for my 2020/21 Season Ticket using a coupon?

You will be issued a refund for the amount you paid via bank transfer. The coupon will be re-issued to your account.

What happens next season?

If you have deferred your Season Ticket, you do not need to do anything. Your seat will remain the same and you will not be subjected to any further payments.

If you claim a downgrade or a refund, then you will need to book a Season Ticket for the 2021/22 season. Your seat will not be held for you and you will be subjected to price increases.

What happens if supporters are allowed to attend games in 2020/21?

The club is hopeful that supporters will be able to attend fixtures at some point during the 2020/21 season. In this instance, all supporters will need to book tickets. It is likely that there will be restrictions such as overall capacity and social distancing, so tickets will go on sale in accordance with these guidelines, therefore you are not guaranteed your original seat.

If capacity is restricted, a priority system will be in place, as follows:

  • Deferred 2020/21 Season Ticket holders
  • Exile Nation Members
  • General sale

If I am an Exile Nation Member, how many tickets can I buy as part of the priority system?

Each member is entitled to buy one ticket (subject to availability).

If I request a full cash refund, will I be given priority access to match tickets when supporters are allowed to attend?

If Brentford Community Stadium re-opens to supporters for the 2020/21 season, it will be very likely to be at a limited capacity. We appreciate that everyone’s circumstances are different, so will aim to give Season Ticket holders who claim a full cash refund a priority window before general sale, but this cannot be guaranteed.

I’ve chosen to cancel my direct debit payments already, so I am not currently a Season Ticket holder, what happens next?

You will still be given an option to defer until 2021/21 season and carry on paying the outstanding balance by direct debit. If you would like a cash refund, we will give you an option to downgrade to an Exile Nation Membership and/or send a cash refund for payments made up to date via bank transfer.

If this applies to you, please email [email protected] to submit your preference.

When will I be able to try my seat?

Unfortunately to do coronavirus restrictions it has not been possible to arrange an event inviting Season Ticket holders to attend the stadium and try their seat, as originally planned. However, if you defer your Season Ticket, you will have the opportunity to book a stadium tour (subject to availability and restrictions) where you will be able to try your seat.

What happens if I want to move seats for 2021/22?

This can be accommodated, when 2021/22 Season Tickets go on sale you can request a seat move by emailing [email protected]

I have reserved a seasonal parking permit, what happens now?

Seasonal parking permits will not be on sale for the 2020/21 season. No payments have been taken so refunds are not owed for parking. If you reserved a parking space for the 2020/21 season, you will be given first priority to book a space for the 2021/22 season.

If supporters are able to attend fixtures during the 2020/21 season, parking will have to be booked on a match-by-match basis. More information will be communicated in due course.

What is a Flexi Ticket?

Flexi Tickets will be exclusively available to be purchased by Exile Nation Members. They are a flexible ticket bundle where supporters can select which fixtures are included from a set number of games.

The club intend to put Flexi Tickets on sale for the 2020/21 season, if there are enough fixtures that admit spectators to warrant it, and if the allowed capacity of these fixtures allows.

What is the best way to help support the club?

Like many businesses, London Irish is struggling financially due to the impacts of the pandemic. Without crowds at fixtures, the club has very limited income, and any help that supporters can provide is enormously appreciated. If you are in a position to do so, deferring your Season Ticket to the 2020/21 season would be the club’s preferred option, as this keeps your money in the club and commits your support for the following year. As a thank you, you will be given an Exile Nation Membership – worth £95 – free of charge.

For those supporters who are able, upgrading your Season Ticket by an additional one or two seasons would provide much needed revenue. While you will be helping the club in the short term, you will be benefitting in the long run by avoiding annual price increases. If you would like to defer and upgrade, please complete this form.

We understand that the pandemic has affected everyone’s lives, and many will be facing their own troubles and financial difficulties, therefore fully understand those supporters who need to claim a cash refund.

We appreciate there are a lot of different scenarios and individual circumstances to consider, in such cases where your question may not be answered in the FAQs, please email – [email protected] with your query and we will endeavour to accommodate you on a case-by-case basis.
