First days          FIRST DAYS

London Irish duo Brendan McKibbin and James Marshall were on hand to launch the club's new charity partnership, First Days.

First Days is a charity that collects preloved baby clothes, toys, equipment and furniture and redistributes them to those who need them most. Providing a service for families across the region, the charity relies on the support of volunteers.

At match days, festivals and events held throughout the year, our community team will have First Days pink bins available for people attending to donate any items that will assist the charity.

There will be a pink bin outside the Megastore at the Madejski Stadium for two hours every game day.

First Days Head of Operations, Kathryn Taylor said: "We believe that every child deserves the same start in life and it's so amazing to get support from London Irish and we are really excited about the partnership.

"It just opens so many doors for us – we are a small charity with a really big reach and really big ambitions."

London Irish Head of Community Andy Keast is delighted with the partnership, saying: "With the family values that we have as a club, we thought it was a really good link between the two."

McKibbin added "First Days is such a great charity and I would encourage anyone to put their donations in the pink bin at the game on game day."
