Brendan Venter

In June 2016 Brendan was asked to re-join London Irish as Technical Director, to provide support, advice and leadership to the coaching team.

A qualified Doctor back in South Africa, Brendan first joined the club in 1998 as a centre. He made 84 appearances for the club during two spells. Brendan also played a key role as player coach with Conor O’ Shea in charge, leading Irish to its first and only national trophy, the 2002 Powergen Cup.

Other notable accolades include being part of the South African World Cup winning squad in 1995, a successful stint at Saracens laying the foundations for their current success and leading the Natal Sharks to Currie Cup success in 2013.
