As part of the Club’s ongoing support of our official Charity partner Cancer Research UK, London Irish Academy players Harry Elrington and Ross Neal hosted a boot camp for employees of Tesco ahead of their race for Life on Thursday evening.

The 10 ladies headed down to Hazelwood and were put through their paces with a number of drills to ensure they are fully prepped for their Race for Life in support of Cancer Research UK, a charity that the Exiles have already helped raise over £4,000.

Karina, Community Fundraiser at Tesco said: “All the ladies from Tesco Ashford would like to say a huge thank you to London Irish for getting us fighting fit and ready to conquer the CRUK Muddy Race for Life. The players really motivated us and have made us feel like we can achieve anything.”

Christine Bailey, Head of Marketing and Communications at London Irish said: “We have a very good relationship with our local Tesco stores and we were happy to offer assistance to their staff as they train for such a worthwhile cause. We would like to wish them all the best in their Race for Life and hope they raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK.”
