The London Irish Scouts & Guides Day 2013 will be held on Saturday 9th February when Irish take on Saracens in the Aviva Premiership

For the London Irish Scouts & Guides Day 2013, we ran a competition for Scouts & Guide members within the Berkshire Scouts Association and Girlguiding Royal Berkshire to design a commerative badge to be worn on the day by thousands of Scouts & Guides.

We have received many entries and it has been a very difficult decision to choose the winning design. We would like to thank all the members of the Scouts & Guides who took the time to design a badge. In the end, London Irish decided upon a winner for the badge design competition and it is Joshua Eatough from 5th Windsor Cubs.

As a prize for Joshua, he will receive a London Irish Goody Bag on the day and we are looking forward to seeing the thousands of Scouts & Guides on Saturday 9th February wearing the badge.

London Irish player David Sisi has been the face of the London Irish Scouts and Guides day...

David Sisi says "My mum was heavily involved in the Scouts when I was younger so I had a lot of exposure to the Club. Groups such as Scouts and Guides are fantastic for children to get involved with as not only do they offer great life skills but they are also a place to make friends"

We had our first deadline for ticket orders for the London Irish Scouts & Guides Day 2013 recently and the event has proven to be very popular with close to 1000 Scouts & Guides coming from across the South of England.

We have now extended the deadline to purchase tickets until Friday 25th January 2013! For the LI Scouts & Guides Day, The top 12 Scouts & Guides Sections/Units who bring the most people along on the 9th will have access to the activities dome at the Madejski Stadium before the match. The top 30 Scouts & Guides Sections/Units who bring the most people along will have the opportunity to have a photo taken pitch side with our mascot, Digger after the match!

We are expecting large numbers of Scouts and Guides from across the South of England to be in attendance on the day and we would love as many Sections/Units to be involved. If you are interested in getting your pack involved or need any more information, please contact Fraser Boyd on 01189 072 277.
