All mini and junior teams were present as injured prop Halani Aulika spent the morning answering questions, offering advice and coaching.
The Tongan International also held pre-match team talks which proved successful as the given team ran out 60 – 5 winners. The poor weather did little to dampen the spirits around the Club as all players and coaches showcased a festive spirit and dress code.
Paul Honey, Chair of the Youth Academy was full of praise for Halani, describing him as “a very special player, his enthusiasm and desire to get stuck in really made a difference to the kids, he was amazing”.
This new partnership has seen Ellingham and Ringwood also compete in our Land Rover Cup and attend a Matchday Coaching Clinic, we look forward to continuing and strengthening this relationship throughout the coming years.
