Delon ArmitageDelon started playing rugby at the age of 8 for Richmond FC, then he moved to France where he played for Racing Rugby Club de Nice and represented France U16's. On his return to England Delon joined the Academy in 2002, where he played for the England U19's and was involved in the team that won the U19's National Cup (02-03). From there he progressed to the U21 squad. His talent was recognised and Delon played for England in the IRB World Sevens tournament 2005. Last season saw Delon make the step up to England 'A' with his inclusion in the England Saxons Summer tour to Canada to participate in the Churchill Cup. Delon has established himself as a prominent backline threat for Irish with blistering pace that often leaves the opposition trailing behind. He spent much of last season playing at Full Back with Topsy Ojo and Sailosi Tagicakibau on either wing the critics haved named them the most dangerous back three in the Guinness Premiership. |
