1. Eat more often. Rather than skipping meals and starving yourself (which makes weight loss harder), boost your metabolism by eating 5-6 small meals a day. Grazing rather than gorging boosts your metabolic rate, reduces hunger by stabilising blood sugar levels, and increases your energy. The easy way to do this is to eat three healthy main meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and then have a snack in the morning and afternoon. Specialist meal replacement bars (such as Promax Bars) and a piece of low GI fruit are perfect snacks, designed specifically to help you lose weight more easily.

2. Include protein in each meal. This is really important, because you'll burn more calories and lose fat faster when you eat protein every few hours. That's because protein raises your metabolic rate more than carbohydrate or fat. Foods high in protein include fish, chicken, eggs, lean beef and Promax. You can use Promax at any time of the day to easily raise the protein content of your diet.

3. Train with weights at least three days each week. Weight training will tone your body like nothing else can, so it make it part of your life. Each workout should last 45-60 minutes, and include compound exercises like the bench press, squat, shoulder press, deadlifts and dips. Do 8-12 repetitions for 3-4 sets, and rest for less than 60 seconds between sets. On the days you're not weight training, do some kind of aerobic exercise (walking, cycling, or running for example) first thing in the morning, three days per week. Each session should last between 30-45 minutes. Don't do less. High intensity interval training may help you drop the weight even more quickly than gentle aerobics. The combination of cardio and resistance exercise will help to burn calories 24-hours a day - even when you're sleeping!

4. To avoid losing muscle, take 1 scoop of Promax 5-10 minutes after exercise. When they're trying to lose fat, many people lose muscle as well as fat (which will slow down your metabolism!).
