Season Ticket FAQ's 10/11

  • Why have renewal notice been sent later this year?
We have undertaken a careful review of pricing to introduce a package that is more fair and simple. We wanted to make sure this was fully finalised before writing to you.
  • Why is there no early bird offer this year?
Where appropriate, price caps and discounts have been built into pricing for this year as part of our review.
  • If I want to change my existing seat, how and when can I do this?
Current Season Ticket Holders can change to any unreserved seat (i.e. a seat not currently occupied by a 2009/10 Season Ticket Holder) at any time. There is a special window whereby un-renewed seats can be purchased before they go on general release. Season Ticket Holders can change their seat for an individual match free of charge provided that additional tickets are purchased when the seat change is arranged with the Ticket Office. Where the move is to a higher priced seat/stand, the price difference between the seats will be chargeable.
  • Why have you increased some prices for Season Tickets?
Prices have increased in some areas and decreased in others. We have reviewed our pricing structure and believe that we have introduced prices that are simple and fair with options for all budgets. If you compare us to other Clubs then you will see that we remain one of the most competitive in the Premiership as well as offering one of the best Stadiums. A Season Ticket offers savings of up to 56% on Matchday prices across the season. For some considerable time a number of Season Tickets have been underpriced and whilst we have tried to maintain this for as long as possible we now need to increase prices to be able to continue to build on the Club’s success. We also need to cover rising costs.
  • What do I get for my money?
We truly appreciate the loyalty and continued support we receive from you. Our commitment to invest and build a quality team also continues – this is vital to ensure our future success and means that we have a huge amount to look forward to for 2010/11. Our exciting new signings - Daniel Bowden and Darren Allinson will be joining us. We are also delighted that Dave Ellis, Delon Armitage, Steffon Armitage, Clarke Dermody and James Buckland have all committed to stay with the club. We hope you will agree that having a London Irish Season Ticket offers exceptional value for money and savings of up to 56% on Matchday prices across the season and is extremely competitive. We include great offers and promotions and we try to make each match day a real London Irish festival: live bands at every home game, on-pitch entertainment and, of course, our legendary Craic and St Patrick’s Party. Next year we’ll be bring you even more - so watch this space!
  • My seat has changed from premium to standard or vice versa – why is that?
We have reviewed our pricing structure and seats have been categorised and priced according to their position and view of the pitch. Premium seating areas will be charged at a higher rate than the rest of the stand to reflect the superior viewing position. Likewise, if your seat has now been classified as standard then you will only pay the standard rate.
  • My child received a free Under 8’s Season Ticket this season; can they go free for 2010/11?
We have introduced a brand new Family Zone in Blocks GU1 to GU3 West Upper, G3 to G4 West Lower and the whole of the South Stand where one child under the age of 16 can go to all matches free of charge with a paying adult. If you do wish to sit in another part of the Stadium with your child then you will need to pay for a Season Ticket at the appropriate U16 price. If your child is Under 5 and does not require a seat then they can continue to go free in any part of the Stadium.
  • What if I am one adult with two children wanting to go in the family zone, what do I pay?
You would pay for one adult and one child with the other child going free.
  • What will be in my new Season Ticket pack and when will I receive it?
Your 2010/11 Season Ticket Booklet will include season previews, squad profiles and match information as well as special offers and promotions. Your pack will be sent to you in August.
  • Will I get a new Season Ticket Smart Card?
All Season Ticket Holders will receive a new Smart Card in the brand new London Irish design. You will keep this card for future years unless you change your seat. Lost or stolen cards should be reported to the Ticket Office and you will be charged £2 for a replacement.
  • Is it possible to pay for my Season Ticket in instalments?
This can be arranged through Zebra Finance Ltd. This finance agreement is between Zebra Finance Ltd and the applicant - London Irish and Madejski Stadium play no part in this process. For further information contact the Ticket Office on 0844 249 1871. The cost of this finance is approximately 5% of the price of your Season Ticket.
  • I want to bring the whole family to watch London Irish, what is the best ticket to buy?
A family of four (2 adults and 2 children) could save anything from £190 by purchasing tickets in our new Family Zone (see details in booklet). With a wide range of match day entertainment including live music and kids activities, London Irish is a great family day out.
  • Do members of the Armed Forces and Emergency Services get a discount on tickets?
Yes, members of the Armed Forces and Emergency Services qualify for a discounted rate on Season Tickets. Proof of employment will be required. Please contact the Ticket Office for further details.
  • What is available for disabled supporters at Madejski Stadium?
There are 128 wheelchair spaces available. Entry is at ground level and the places are set well back from the pitch, offering excellent viewing and weather protection. Disabled supporters are provided with a complimentary ‘carer’ ticket for each ticket purchased in the disabled area. You can choose not to sit in the designated area, however the complimentary carer ticket will then not apply. For further information, please contact the Ticket Office on 0844 249 1871.
  • As a Season Ticket Holder I had access to the ballot for international tickets and this is now only open to the Members Club, why?
As you know the allocation of tickets we get for international games is extremely small, particularly when you compare it to the rising number of Season Ticket Holders. We therefore thought it would be better to include this within the London Irish Members Club package where you can increase your chances of winning as well as benefit from a whole range of exclusive benefits.
  • Will you be reviewing away tickets and travel for next season?
We have received feedback on the experience this season and we will review away tickets and travel to find a way that works for all.
  • What are the age limits and restrictions on concession tickets & child tickets?
There are no restrictions on where within the Stadium a concession or child ticket may be purchased, however the price does vary between locations. When purchasing Over 60 and Under 16 tickets, you will be required to produce proof of age – checks can be made on entry into the Stadium. The purchaser must fulfil age criteria on 1st September 2010. Student tickets will only be sold to students in full-time education and on production of a valid student card or proof of educational status on 1st September 2010. For Season Tickets, relevant documentation must be provided before Season Ticket will be validated.
  • Where exactly are the East Stand Drummers located?
The area specially reserved for the 56 East Stand drummers will remain as: Block Y20 Rows Q - W. Actual East Stand Drummers will be seated in Block Y20, Row Q seats 87-95. For anyone wanting to sit within this area (Season Tickets or Match Tickets, although most will be taken by Season Ticket), you must mention that you want to sit with the drummers when booking.
