Playing squad 2010/2011

Dan Murphy

We dont have Dan Murphy's picture yet for this season

The 2009/10 season was a memorable one for Dan Murphy, who featured in all but three of the club's fixtures and finally scored his first club try after 67 appearances in London Irish green.

The bullish prop joined the club in 2006, having been spotted playing for St Mary's University College by Toby Booth. His close association with the Exiles head coach has seen him develop into a highly competitive and consistent part of the club's front row ranks.

Born in Romford, Essex, Dan is a past-pupil of St Joseph's College, Ipswich, one of England's great rugby schools.

As a player he combines the skill and strength essential for a prop forward, and his progress through the ranks at the club has been as much down to his natural talent as his impressive work rate in the gym and on the training field.

A solitary substitute appearance in an EDF Energy Cup game with London Wasps in 06/07 belied the big role he would play in the seasons that followed, and at the start of the 10/11 campaign he had 68 caps and one well earned try to his name.
