James Bailey is a speedy and versatile winger who creates and uses space well and is an acknowledged try-scorer. The former England Under 21 and England Sevens player, signed for London Irish in September.
The 25-year-old, London born winger joined the Exiles from Gloucester for whom he played for four seasons. He has already made 62 Premiership appearances and scored 28 tries. Prior to joining the West Country team James spent two seasons with Bristol where he scored 14 tries in 21 first team appearances during the club's 2003-04 National Division One campaign.
A past-pupil of Millfield School, James was a regular member of the England Under 21 team and played in the 2004 Under 21 World Cup in Scotland. He is also a good sevens player and has already played for the England Sevens team.
