Faan Rautenbach 2010/2011

Faan joined London Irish from Western Province in September 2005 and has been a key member of the forward pack ever since.

Rautenbach began his career as a hooker before switching to prop when he joined the South Africa A squad for their tour to Europe in 2001. He quickly established himself as one of the leading props in the Super 12 and Currie Cup competitions.

With 14 caps for the Springboks, including the 2003 Rugby World Cup, and ten in the Super 12/14 tournament; Faan is an experienced, international prop whose technique and strength is respected by his peers.

After an injury hit season in 2008/09, Faan returned to prominence last season, racking up 25 appearances to take his tally to 84 for the club. He has also scored two tries.
