Richard Whiffin

Richard is in his eight season with London Irish and has progressed up the ranks during this period. Brian Smith brought him to the Club straight after he finished University at UWIC, Cardiff.

His main day to day job is to provide statistical video analysis and feedback for coaches and players. Richard also provides opposition analysis, working on a game plan and the 3 or 4 key points that may require working on.

He was part of the coaching staff for the 2009 England Saxons tour and in 2007 provided Argentina's opposition analysis on European teams (Ireland and France) in the Rugby World Cup. A tournament the Pumas finished third in.

Richard has also played semi-professional rugby in the Welsh National 1 Division.
