The sun shone over the White Knights campus at Reading University last Saturday as sixty teams took part in the St Patrick’s Party Rugby Festival.
The day saw some fantastic rugby played by the teams on show and some very close contests.
Four teams from each age group went through to the semi-finals with the two winners contesting the festival final.
The winners were presented with the trophy at half time during the London Irish vs. Exeter Aviva premiership game.
Special congratulations to the four winners of each age group. These were Maidenhead 1 in U7’s who overcame Farnham by five tries to four. Redingensians won the U8 tournament on a try count back, after drawing with Oxford 1 in the final. Chichester won the U9’s tournament after drawing the final with Maidenhead they were crowned champions after scoring more tries and Worcester beat Farnham by one try to nil to win the U10’s tournament.
London Irish beat the premiership newcomers by 39 points to 17 to round off a great day of rugby.
