On Tuesday 12th June Philippos and Zoe from the Community team visited the Charlton Athletic Community Scheme Offices at the club's training ground in New Eltham, South-East London.The pair were thrilled to meet Jason Morgan (Community Scheme Manager) and Matt Parish (Assistant Community Scheme Manager) from the department who have been responsible for making their community scheme one of the best in the country. The visit gave the community team the opportunity to pick their brains and see first hand some of the projects they've been working on.
Commenting on the visit Community Development Manager Philippos Kyriacou said 'It's been great to sit down with Jason and Matt to get some ideas as to how we can help grow our own department. Over the next few years our vision is to emulate the success of Charlton's Community Scheme and we can achieve this by learning from them. I'd like to thank both managers for their time today and look forward to seeing them again soon.'
