Last Sunday at a very pleasant Sunbury, and in front of an appreciative 3,000 spectators, the U11s finished their season in fine style.
The U11Bs looking for their first gold medal of the season, played their best rugby of the year to take the Cup. In the pool stage they beat Teddington 10-0 (Girgis, Edgson), Blackheath 25-0 (Tarrant, M Flynn, Warman, Rowland, Edgson), and Marlow 30-0 (Gulvin, Edgson 2, Girgis 2, Hall). In the final against Tunbridge Wells, having been held 0-0 at the turn, they ran in four tries in the second half to win 20-5 (Tarrant, Hall, Warman, Edgson). A well deserved first cup of the season.

The As, on the back of their success at the Surrey championship, were looking for their third cup of the season. They were not to be disappointed.
Starting very slowly against a much improved Teddington, they were lucky to get a 0-0 draw. However, they woke up against Coleraine and beat them 15-0 (Beeston, A Flynn, Walsh). They finished top of the group by beating Chipstead 15-0 (Brooks, Ritchie, Flynn).
In the semi-final they beat Blackheath 10-5, with Brooks scoring two out wide. And so to the final, also against Tunbridge Wells. Whilst attacking the whole game, they just could not break Wells' determined defence and after 20 minutes it was decided to share the Cup. So a third cup in a month for the A team.

Well done to the whole Under 11 squad on what turned out to be a fine season after a very slow start.
