Independent School Partnership Programme

London Irish currently operate school partnerships across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Middlesex and Kent

Each partnership is bespoke and designed to best suit the needs and aims of the school. The partnership programme is a unique relationship where a professional rugby club can impart knowledge expertise and experience to young players.

Coaching

Bespoke sessions will be designed and delivered to groups designated by the school in conjunction with the Director of Sport.
These sessions are charged at a fixed hourly rate, set at £40 per hour.

Coach Education

Coach Education sessions can be used on inset days or during the season and are completely bespoke to the current needs of the staff.
Coach Education sessions are supported and can be run by the Academy Manager and Head of Development
These sessions are charged at a fixed hourly rate, set at £40 per hour.

Pre-season Camp

A non-residential rugby camp will take place at the school and will be open up to all squads within the school and will focus on core skills, set piece and game planning

Match Day Coaching

Partner Schools will be given a unique experience on a Matchday with access to coaching sessions, group photos with players, Guard of Honour, stadium announcement and logo shown on the big screen, complementary parking and adult tickets

Talent ID Pathway

London Irish run successful School of Rugby and Academy programmes in Hampshire and Berkshire and independent schools are a great breeding ground for young rugby talent. London Irish coaches will offer any suitable players the chance to take part in junior academy sessions.
Players wishing to take rugby to the next level and continue in education will be directed to the school

Festival Support

London Irish will support any festivals and tournaments that the school have arranged; this can be in the form of branding, referees, prizes and organisation

Marketing

The school will:

  • Be provided with a partnership logo for use on school website, prospectus, playing kit and newsletters, the school will also be given a plaque to display the partnership in the reception or sports pavilion
  • Feature on the London Irish website as a partner school
  • Have access to half a page in our Matchday programme to use as they wish
  • Receive updates about the partnership and rugby in the school on our website news pages

Benefits

The school will:

  • Receive two season tickets to be used as the school wish, perhaps to reward volunteers, players or staff
  • Be provided with some signed memorabilia that can be used to raise funds for the school or end of season presentations
  • Have access to offers from London Irish partners including Kinetica [supplements], Gilbert [equipment] and ISC [clothing]
  • Be given a Professional Player Ambassador who will be available to the school for speech days or end of season awards and the lower school can have visits from the team mascot ‘Digger’.
