Help on the Fixtures Section
The fixtures section shows you all the first team matches in the current season. If you click on the score or the button with the newspaper symbol on it, you can view the match report for any game that has taken place. Match reports now contain time-lines, full player listings with links to stats plus comparative stats between the opponent and London Irish, plus picture galleries. If you click on the opponent's name you can see etails of when the club was formed, where they play, directions and more information.
Click on the drop down starting with "First XV" to select previous seasons, this allows you to see fixtures all the way back to the start of professional Rugby in 1996. There are also fixtures listed for earlier years but these are not all complete yet.
It is possible to search for a given opponent and show all games played by Irish against that club. You can show just the fixtures from a given competition using the "All fixtures" drop down.
You can also use the "All fixtures" drop down to see results from a specific competition, such as the Heineken Cup. It is also possible to search for a specific opponent and see all results against that team. The "info" button takes you to a whole host of information specific to that match.
If the match is televised, clicking on the relevant TV icon will take you to that broadcasters web site.
Download a list of fixtures for this season by clicking on the "calendar" this will download a file which will import into most email/calendar programs such as Outlook. This will automatically add all the fixtures to your calendar to notify you of upcoming matches. Simply click on the "calendar" link, save the file to your computer and then open Outlook or similar mail/calendar program. Click on File, Import , then select "import an icalendar or vcalendar file" then open the file you have saved.
Please note: if fixtures have not been confirmed, they will not appear in your calendar, as these get a bit confused otherwise!
For those "stattos" amongst you, you can also download the fixtures into an excel spreadsheet. Click on the "Download .CSV" link and save the file to your hard disk, you can then open it in Excel or import it into a database.
