LISC Membership

The London Irish Supporters Club (“LISC”) was established in the 1998/99 season with 34 supporters. Our membership now exceeds 900.

The LISC is independent of the club, but is privileged to enjoy close contact with the club's management and the players. The LISC arranges social events, organises trips to away rugby games (both in the UK and Europe), acts as the voice of the supporters to the rugby club and generally helps London Irish supporters in any way we can. The LISC has members from all parts of the UK and Ireland and these include some from as far afield as USA, New Zealand, Italy and the Netherlands.

  • LISC arranges a series of excellent social events at various venues including Sunbury, the Madejski Stadium and in and around Reading - examples include summer BBQs, Meet the Referee evenings, Meet the Coaches evenings, Quiz Nights, and Dinner Dances.
  • For Away Travel, the Supporters Club, through Tony Byrne at St. Clare’s Travel,  offers significant savings for members. We help put together packages for those wishing to travel to our away games in England and Europe. These include the now legendary subsidised coach trips. Some of our members actually remember them the day after!
  • LISC's range of merchandise includes rugby shirts, polo shirts, T-shirts, fleeces, berets, sports bags, sports coats and much more. Members can purchase items on line with the use and protection of PayPal (see the web address below) or in person at the LISC Marquee (Father Ted’s Confessional) situated between the Stadium ticket office and the North Stand Bar.
  • The LISC newsletter, the eXile Files, is sent out by email after each game giving supporters a brief report of the game and informing them of forthcoming events at the Club. Periodically we publish a fuller magazine version containing interviews, features, articles on what is happening at London Irish and fun items like a crossword, agony column etc! Its Editors are always looking for copy, so don't be shy - send us a contribution, match review or craic tour review!

You can find Supporters' Club information by logging onto the LISC website at www.lisc.org.uk, or by e-mailing info@lisc.org.uk. If you are an existing member and wish to renew your membership or want to join as a new member then you can do so by simply e-mailing join@lisc.org.uk. It only costs £10 per year.

Please renew or apply for your membership now, and lets work together to help make London Irish the best-supported and most hospitable club in the country and Europe

Enjoy the Craic!

LISC Joke Book

The versatile London Irish Supporters Club (LISC) has turned their hands to publishing to raise funds for the London Irish Academy.

The LISC has published 'To the left of the posts', a 44 page 'Adult Book of Humour'. The book contains adult humour, some true stories (truth often being stranger - and funnier - than fiction) and loads of jokes accompanied by a wide selection of reverent (and irreverent) cartoons.

The small tome, which has been compiled by London Irish supporter, Robin Clive, is intended for browsing and dipping into and could make an ideal addition to a coffee table, or for those incredibly well organised, a Christmas stocking filler.

London Irish has one of the most successful Academies in England which produces top quality scholars who become full first team professionals. Nick Kennedy, Delon Armitage, Nils Mordt, David Paice and Topsy Ojo all came through the system and are now looking to challenge for international places this season.

'Support and investment in the rugby stars of the future has always been a priority at London Irish,' said the club's Chief Executive Ian Taylor, "Our investment in the Academy is three times more than the RFU's budget, this is only possible thanks to extra fundraising activities such as this entertaining book."

The book costs £5 each, to order one or more copies visit the LISC website at www.lisc.org.uk
