The Prince’s Trust and London Irish
London Irish is proud to announce The Prince’s Trust as an official charity partner for the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons.
“I used to be really naughty. I was in and out of trouble for fighting, I was excluded from school and had no focus in my life. Now it’s a different story - I’m doing much better and jumping at the chance to play rugby. Rugby has made me calm down and make friends – I love it. Without The Prince’s Trust I don’t know where I would be today”. Jamie - 15
Around 3.9 million children are living below the poverty line in the UK. The Prince’s Trust helps the most vulnerable young people to overcome considerable barriers and gain the confidence, skills and motivation needed to find a future.
The Prince's Trust believes passionately that sport can help young people to tackle life. Since 1997, The Prince's Trust has changed more than 20,000 young lives through sport programmes. All Proceeds raised from this partnership will be used to support the work of The Prince’s Trust across the London and South East region.
London Irish are The Trust’s inaugural Rugby Union Club supporters and are passionate about making a difference in their local community. It is thanks to the generous support of organisations like London Irish, that The Prince's Trust is able to help more than 3,000 young people through sport every year.
"We are delighted that London Irish are showing their support for the vital work of The Prince’s Trust. We have seen firsthand how sport can change young lives, helping to develop key work place skills such as confidence, motivation, teamwork and discipline.
"Through our partners like London Irish, we can continue to help thousands of young people through sport. Thanks for your support!” Tom Keer, Head of Sport Development at The Prince’s Trust."

In addition to helping the Prince’s Trust, London Irish considers all other requests, with special consideration given to those which will benefit our local community. However, our resources are limited and regrettably we are unable to support every appeal we receive. For this reason we are only able to help an individual charity once per season and unfortunately we cannot support fund raising for expeditions.
The areas we predominantly cover are: Berkshire, Hampshire and the Sunbury locality.
Each request must be in writing, telephone applications will not be considered. You should include the registered charity number.
