JOB TITLE: London Irish Academy, Developing Player Programme, Head Coach (Berkshire)

- Part time role.

- Competitive hourly rate.

- Monday evening sessions at venues throughout Berkshire.

London Irish Rugby Club, in partnership with the Rugby Football Union and Berkshire RFU, are seeking to appoint a Head coach to lead the delivery of their Berkshire Developing Player Programme (DDP).

The London Irish Academy DPP is the first tier of the Academy pathway and is run from six centres across the clubs designated Academy region of Berkshire and Hampshire. The programme focuses on the talent identification, core skill and physical development of players aged 13 to 15 and is delivered on a weekly basis in each centre, commencing on September 15th 2014.

The programme is delivered in partnership with Berkshire RFU and the RFU with its core objectives being 'Providing high quality player development experiences, encouraging lifelong participation in the game and enabling those with potential to be clearly identified and supported’.

Role Summary:
• Planning of weekly Berkshire DPP sessions aligned to London Irish Academy DPP coaching curriculum.
• Delivery of 24 weekly Berkshire DPP sessions to be held on Monday evenings from 6.30pm – 8.30pm at varying venues throughout Berkshire delivered during term time.
• Attendance at London Irish DPP holiday camps to be held at the London Irish Hazelwood Training Centre.
• Leadership and development of Berkshire DPP coaching team (2 x Support coaches, Physio and S&C coach).
• Compiling of player reports on six weekly basis.
• lead communication with London Irish Academy coaching team, Berkshire County coaches, School and club coaches.
Person Specification:
• Must Be UKCC Level 3 qualified.
• Experience of coaching talented young athletes.

JOB TITLE: Full time Bar Manager

The Hazelwood Centre seeks to appoint their Bar Manager, a key member of their team.

The successful candidate will be one that is happy to roll up their sleeves and become fully responsible for the running and organising of the whole bar operation.

As a crucial revenue stream you will work with the General Manager to deliver opportunities and optimise sales, whilst minimising cost. Bar experience is preferable however specific training will be provided. Retail experience is a definite advantage.

Ideally you will have previous experience in team management with good communication and customer-facing skills. This role will suit someone who is outgoing, energetic and an individual who will enjoy building and maintaining good relations with our Rugby club membership/players and New Customers.

Reporting to the General Manager, the role also demands an individual with flexibility and a ‘can-do’ attitude, along with a clear track record of experience and achievements in similar roles elsewhere. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new and progressive business.
