Player Testing and Medical Support
Each England Rugby Academy will form a partnership with the nearest UK Sports Institute network centre and/or with an England Rugby designated/approved local university/college for the provision of player testing/monitoring services. These will be provided as a mix of field and laboratory tests. The provision of appropriate fitness advice will be in line with England Rugby benchmarks and programmes will also be a requirement.
Each England Rugby Academy will also form partnerships with appropriate RFU designated/approved medical institutions to ensure that players can be effectively screened and that a full range of medical, rehabilitation and physiotherapy services can be provided.
